Le Havre was virtually rebuilt after the Second World War, and is celebrating its 500th anniversary.
As the materials were very scarce, steel and concrete were used as a base for the reconstruction of the city.
The result is that totally different architectural styles coexist with each other, and visually this attracted me a lot. I photographed the buildings, and then individualized the images digitally, treating them as if they were the architect's creative drawings.
The images were enlarged on a metal surface to highlight this reconstruction process with steel creating a very special visual effect, which is my personal view of the city´s architecture.

Le Havre wurde nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg praktisch wieder neu aufgebaut, und feiert im Jahr 2017 sein 500er Geburtstag.
Da die Materialien sehr knapp waren, wurden Stahl und Beton als Grundlage für den Wiederaufbau der Stadt verwendet.
Das Ergebnis ist, dass völlig unterschiedliche Architekturstile miteinander koexistieren, und das hat mich optisch sehr angezogen.
Ich habe die Gebäude fotografiert die Bilder digital verarbeitet und sie so behandelt, als wären sie die kreative Skizze des Architekten.
Die Bilder wurden auf einer Metalloberfläche vergrößert, um diesen Rekonstruktionsprozess mit Stahl hervorzuheben.
Ein besonderer visueller Effekt wird damit hervorgebracht, der meine persönliche Sicht auf die Architektur der Stadt entspricht.

Le Havre foi praticamente reconstruída depois da segunda guerra mundial, e em 2017 comemora 500 anos de existência.
Como os materiais eram muito escassos, o aço e o concreto foram usados como base.
O resultado é que estilos arquitetônicos totalmente diferentes convivem entre si, e visualmente isto me atraiu muito.
Fotografei as fachadas, e depois individualizei as imagens digitalmente, tratando elas como se fossem o esboço criativo do arquiteto.
As imagens foram ampliadas sobre uma superfície metálica para ressaltar este processo de reconstrução com o aço criando um efeito visual muito especial, que é a minha visão sobre a arquitetura da cidade.
