In Lodz, the third largest city of Poland, I associated infrared with coal from the mines of the region.
These generated the necessary energy for the local textile industry.
The resulting wealth of this industry enabled the growth of architecture in the city.
I associate the infrared, which is not visible to humans, and is on the warmest side of light spectrum is, with the energy that came from the coal.
This enabled the existence of local architecture with its energy.
The pictures where photographed in black and white and infrared. Then the two pictures where digitally combined and the photos enlarged on cotton paper, resulting a personal insight into the city´s architecture.

In Lodz, die drittgrößte Stadt Polens, assoziierte ich Infrarot mit der Kohle aus den Bergwerken der Region. D
iese erzeugten die notwendige Energie für die lokale Textilindustrie. Der entstandene Reichtum der Textilindustrie, ermöglichte das Wachstum der Architektur in der Stadt.
Ich assoziiere das Infrarot, dass für den Menschen nicht sichtbar ist, und sich im Lichtspektrum auf der wärmste Seite befindet, mit die von der Kohle erzeugten Energie.
Diese ermöglichte die Existenz der lokalen Architektur.
Ich habe die Bilder jeweils in Schwarzweiß und Infrarot fotografiert. Dann wurden die beiden Bilder digital zusammengefügt und die Fotos auf Baumwollpapier vergrößert, wodurch ich einen persönlichen Einblick in die Architektur der Stadt erhielt.

Em Lodz, terceira maior cidade da Polônia -  associei o infravermelho ao carvão que veio das minas da região e gerou a energia para a indústria têxtil local.
Foi a riqueza desta indústria que imprimiu a arquitetura da cidade.
Associei o infravermelho que não é visível para os humanos, mas está no espectro mais quente da luz com o carvão que com o seu calor tornou possível a arquitetura local existir.
Fiz as imagens em em preto e branco e infravermelho.
Então as duas imagens foram mescladas e as fotos foram ampliadas sobre papel de fibra vegetal, criando a minha visão sobre a arquitetura da cidade.
